What is it with New Jersey and bands named after 90's TV characters? Hack Morris and Danny Tanner are the 2 that come directly to mind. This is not another bullshit joke album though, I promise you, this one is full of well recorded riffage, excellent drumming and lyrics focused around the stupidity of a certain strain of pop culture. To my knowledge this 6 song EP is the only recording ever released. Unfortunately the band Roger Klotz was only around for about a year, luckily I had the chance to catch them at a VFW, great shit. If you like intense floor clearing breakdowns, high energy old school hardcore circle pits and fucking hate the Jersey Shore than this is an absolute must download.

One of my favorite grindcore bands of all fucking time are finally back with a brand new dose of boundary pushing mayhem. Its not all dick banter, shit tossing and hilarious 'odes to farts' here.. well kind of. Somehow these 2 guys execute and maintain a disturbing level of overall audio substance that is extremely unforgettable. Dont believe me? Just go explore their YouTube Channel for a few minutes, you'll understand very quickly what you're in store for. Plug & Play is 65 insane tracks and artwork all for only 6 bucks on their bandcamp page. This shit will make you laugh, I promise, that is unless you have any feelings or morals of any kind, then you'll probably just want to vomit repeatedly. Fuck yea, I've heard it, and its fucking awesome, this is one you've got to go and buy for yourselves. Check out their first 2 albums while you're at it, also available here.

Energy is low, once again the negative effect of working retail during the holidays. I manage a massive liquor store and with Thanksgiving today, it is now officially go time. I'm feeling mighty thrashed right now and this video was one of the few things I knew would brighten my day. It is not a great video, in fact its kinda humorous how bad it is, unintentionally I'm sure. Anyway, I don't know why, but I love it and Arckanum plain fucking rules, watching Shamaatae take a hike through some some Swedish forest with his bad ass staff is pretty awesome man. The top comment on the YouTube clip is classic "I like the part when he's in the woods and says 'Arrgh!' ". That about sums up the whole damn thing! Enjoy this vid and wish me luck in battle against the hordes of equally stressed and rabid consumers, and just think... only a month 'til xmas... joy =/

I've always had a thing for Darkest Hour, the energy, the riffage, the live show, all really great stuff. I chose to post this one because it contains my favorite Darkest Hour song 'An Epitaph' and because I just scored this classic early 00's metalcore album for only a penny on Amazon (love that shit). So Sedated So Secure is their second relentless full length. Looking back, these guys really owned the genre before bands likes The Absence, The Black Dahlia Murder and Arsis rose to the top. Their Swedish melo-death vibes are pretty awesome, especially on this album.

Cause for effect is a 2 man grindcore act from Finland. The entire album is drums, bass guitar and a low grunting vomit box vocalist. Really jazzy bass grooves, tight drums and lots of unique experimental transitions. Definitely a must have for fans of innovative grindcore.

Well this seems like the perfect album to post this week. In case you didn't know, the media is a blaze with stories about the existence of the Russian Yeti. Scientists on an expedition to the Siberian tundra have announced that they are "95%" sure of the Yeti's existence. Pretty cool stuff. However as a big time Cryptozoology buff, I find these claims to be a bit premature, test the hair samples, build a team and set out on a longer more spread out expedition, and most importantly don't get everyones fucking hopes up until you are "100%" sure. You're going to make the entire field look bad once again if you're wrong. Its bad enough that Tom Biscardi's asinine face and antics will be back on TV soon, he is such fucking joke.

Ah the most recent stab from New York's Immolation, Providence is a quick 5 songs with one mission in mind... to prove to the cocky and ignorant legion of young death metal fans that Immolation is still an active and massive force to be reckoned with... annd to brutally face fuck them, repeatedly. Im not sure what the relationship is between Immolation and Scion (yea, those cheep boxy cars...) but this EP is boss as shit. Thick ass production, blistering guitar work (as always) and Ross Dolan's unique demonic vocals sound better than ever. Get this shit death metal fans and man, if this is your first ear shot at Immolation, you're really due for a beating.

And here we have yet another metalcore band that kicked ass live, recorded a great EP and due to personal differences between band members, broke up shortly after and it was never properly released.
